Sanjiv Sharma, MD,FACC,FSCAI

About Sanjiv

Dr. Sanjiv Sharma completed his Internal Medicine Residency from Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard and Boston University School of Medicine in Boston after graduation and post-graduation from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. He completed Cardiology Fellowship from UCLA/West Los Angeles VA and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Dr. Sharma is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He joined the elite group of his peers from Cedars at Central Cardiology in 2000.

Besides being exceptionally trained, he is experienced in interventional cardiology, practicing coronary and peripheral interventions including carotid stenting and aortic aneurysm endovascular stent graft repair. Dr. Sharma has been a pioneer researcher, conducting many research trials and proposing many original ideas and inventions. He has presented his work in conferences, published widely in top journals and has authored numerous book chapters. He serves on the editorial board and reviews many journals as well as holds patents in the field of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. From his clinical research and publications, Dr. Sharma has been successful in implementing treatment strategies and improving patient care. He has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in America, Science and Engineering World.

Dr. Sharma has a passion for travel-from hiking in the Sequoias to chasing Northern lights in Alaska . Dr. Sharma brings academic and research expertise to Central Cardiology Medical Center.
