About Natalia

Natalia Obando is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the state of California to provide family-centered healthcare to all spectrum of ages. Natalia emigrated from Peru in 2008 to attend California State University of Bakersfield to earn her BSN in Nursing with honors in 2014 and obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing at Walden University in 2018. Also, she is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Prior to joining Central Cardiology, Natalia worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner, an Operating Room/ Recovery Registered Nurse in inpatient and outpatient settings in different hospitals and surgical centers and a travel Nurse. Natalia has nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care including Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, ENT, Urology, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics.

As a native of Peru, Natalia speaks Spanish fluently. Being able to interact with patients, families and community at the most vulnerable parts of their life makes her feel accomplished. During her free time, Natalia loves salsa dancing, cooking with family and friends and traveling to explore new cultures.
