Ajay M. Patel, MD

About Ajay

Dr. Ajay Patel completed his medical schooling at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He finished his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco and went on to join the General Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. Once he finished this training, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Chicago. He is trained in Structural Heart Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He has extensive experience in a variety of technologies to deal with the full spectrum of coronary and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Patel is Board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He joined Centric Health in 2017 because he believed that Kern County was a place where he could make a difference.

Dr. Patel possesses strong research and investigation skills which have given him the ability to remain updated with the latest medical trends and advancements that he applies in diagnosing and treating his patients. He has a strong team-centered approach and uses his extensive knowledge and training in both non-invasive and surgical interventions to effectively manage patients. Dr. Patel has authored many book chapters and has been involved in numerous clinical research studies.

Dr. Patel enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
